Completed MBBS from medical college, Thrissur in 1999, did his post graduation in ophthalmology from Dr. Rajendraprasad centre,AIIMS,Newdelhi in 2003, worked in cornea and refractive surgery dept and did short term training in SNEC, Singapore in refractive surgery department, before starting his career as consultant.
Worked as Asst Medical director and in charge of cornea and refractive surgery department in Ahalia foundation eye hospital, Palakkad since starting of hospital in February 2005. established department of cornea and refractive surgery and was actively involved in community ophthalmology work and was instrumental in establishing an eye bank in that area providing keratoplasty services to the much needy rural population with high incidence of keratitis and related corneal blindness. Thereafter he worked as senior consultant in department of cornea and refractive surgery at vasan eye care hospital, Trivandrum, since july 2007 as a specialist in anterior segment diseases and surgeries(phacoemulsification ,Lasik,Icl implantation,corneal transplantation,intracorneal ring segment implantation). Took active role in establishing and developing the department and centre from its inception till may 2013.
Currently he is the promoter and director of Precise speciality eye care hospital hospital, PMG junction, Trivandrum also taking care of the department of cornea, cataract and refractive surgery.
Published papers in peer reviewed journals and delivered talks and presentations in All India, state and international conferences regarding cataract surgery, refractive surgery, corneal transplantation and Age related macular degeneration. He is an invited anterior segment specialist in govt victoria hospital,mahe,Seychelles.
Experienced with more than 10000 lasik procedures and 400 ICL implantations and well versed in cornea and refractive surgical procedures like INTACS, collagen crosslinking ,conductive keratoplasty and lamellar keratoplasty.
His areas of interest are newer treatment modalities in management of keratoconus, ocular surface disorders and special interest in lamellar keratoplasty and immunology of the eye.
